Accessibility statement
We build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA — on this site and on the sites we build for clients.

Our commitment
Star Web Media is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
What we have done
This site was built with accessibility as a requirement rather than an afterthought:
- Semantic HTML structure with landmarks, one H1 per page and a logical heading order
- Full keyboard operation, including the menu and the contact form, with a visible focus indicator throughout
- Text contrast checked against the 4.5:1 requirement for body text and 3:1 for large text and interface components
- Descriptive alternative text on informative images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology
- Form fields with real labels, required fields marked in text as well as color, and errors described in words next to the field
- A visible, keyboard-operable pause control for the background video on the homepage
- Reduced-motion support: large movement effects are switched off when your system asks for reduced motion
- A spam filter that does not require solving a visual puzzle — image and maths CAPTCHAs are a known accessibility barrier and we do not use them for normal submissions
Known limitations
We test with automated tools and by keyboard on every page. Automated testing covers roughly a third of the relevant criteria, so some issues can still reach production. Third-party content, if we ever embed any, may not meet the same standard.
If you find something that does not work for you, we treat it as a defect and fix it.
How to report a problem
Email [email protected] and tell us the page address and what happened. If it is easier, call 845-837-9314.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and to tell you what we will do about it and when.
